This 10-hour one-week intensive followed by 4 private coaching sessions is designed to help the pianist who already plays and/or reads music to prepare for auditions with the school jazz band, jazz vocal ensemble or jazz combo. We will contact the prospective band/choir leader and work on 2 tunes picked by your prospective leader for the next school year. Your workshop includes: 1) 10 hours of group preparation, including listening to jazz tunes key to understanding and getting a feel for jazz playing 2) 4 private 30-min coaching sessions – privately arranged (45 min & 1 hr coaching sessions available) 3) Registration fee 4) Jazz chart book with 2 tunes picked for your student and his/her playing strengths _______________ Total price: $260 The one-week intensive (Monday – Thursday) includes 2 ½ hours daily of group training (right now we favor 5:30PM – 8:00PM but are willing to consider a shift later if needed) to provide a listening and performance foundation for your pianist to succeed as a student of jazz.
